The first step in the system is the Proactiv Solution Renewing Cleanser. This cleanser has little beads that exfoliate. It breaks down the dirt and oil while exfoliating.

The second step is the Proactiv Solution Revitalizing Toner. This is a very important step and is often left out by those that think the cleanser will do it all. Just put some on a cotton pad and wipe all over your skin. Once you see the grime on the pad, you'll know how important the Revitalizing Toner is.

The toner soothes skin while getting anything left behind by the cleanser. It finishes cleaning out the pores and works wonders.

The third and final step is the Proactiv Solution Repairing Lotion. It contains Benzoyl Peroxide that not only protects your skin but acts as a germ killer. If you skip this step, it will be easy for dirt and germs to get into your pores. I know it sounds horrid, but without moisture, your skin will also get oily as it tries to hydrate itself.
